Job Title: Egg Collector / Farm Worker Part time.

Reporting to: The site Manager.

Reporting to Job Holder: N/A

OVERALL AIM OF THE JOB: To collect, grade and pack eggs for incubation. Also to assist in the efficient running of the site and maintain safe working practices.

KEY TASKS WITHIN THE JOB

1. Responsible for the day to day collection of all the eggs.

2. Assisting to achieve target number of settable eggs per female and fertility level.

3. To grade and stack all eggs as required by the hatchery.

4. Produce egg records required relating to the flocks in order to provide accurate up to date information.

5. Monitor and report any required repairs to buildings and machinery to the appropriate people ensuring the site operates efficiently and safely.

6. Liaise regularly with line manager, and communicate with site staff and colleagues as appropriate, regarding successes and problems to ensure consistent flow of information.

7. Monitor stock control or farm supplies, and order supplies required through the hatchery.

8. Maintain all aspects of company policy on site (as per Company Handbook)

9. To assist with maintaining the health and welfare of the ducks on site.

10. To carry out any other tasks relating to poultry farming as the company may reasonably require.

Hours 6am to 10am both days

Current pay Rate £6 per Hour at 18 years of age and above.
£ 5.00p per hour at 17 years of age.
£4.50p per hour at 16 years of age.
All overtime paid at time and a half.
